How far along? - 22 weeks.
Total weight gain? - I was up 8 lbs as of 2 weeks ago... no idea now.
How big is baby? - A spaghetti squash (approximately 11" from head to toe & nearly a pound)
Symptoms? -
Food aversions, some back pain, & swelling feet.
Maternity clothes? - Slowly outgrowing my regular clothes... shirts are getting shorter; zippers on pants are going up less & less.
Stretch marks?
- Nothing that I've noticed thus far.
Sleep? - Some middle-of-the-night pee breaks & waking early. Back to being REALLY tired by the end of the day, too.
Best moment this week? - Discovering the bairn's dislike of having Daddy's arm resting on my tummy... TWICE this week, he attempted to sling his arm across my stomach & was quickly rewarded with angry punches/kicks that stopped as soon as he moved his arm. :)
Movement? - All the time, & I love it. :) He/she is definitely starting to respond to outside things (see the answer to the last question), & definitely tends to lay low when I'm at work during the day. Today, though, has been a nonstop party in there - he/she first started up this morning during church, then continued on at lunch with flips all over the place, & hasn't settled down since. Guess we're having a wide awake kinda day today!
Gender? - Still say boy - & I've caught myself saying "he" several times when talking about the bairn.
Labor signs? - None, & let's keep it that way for at least another 15 weeks.
Cravings? - Still fruit.
Aversions?
- Beef & tomato-based things.
Belly button in or out? - Getting more shallow by the day, although the husband claims that it's still plenty deep.
What I'm looking forward to?
- Viability day in TWO WEEKS! :)
What I miss? - People talking to ME instead of my belly!
Weekly wisdom? - Just trust - there's no use in worrying, because it won't help anything.
Weekly joy? - The bairn finally letting his/her daddy feel some kicks last night & entertaining myself - for literally HOURS - watching my belly jump around. Hilarious!
It's going to be a real shock to you if this baby turns out to be a girl, isn't it? ;-) In that case, I won't mention that I had EARLY swelling (20 wks) with my "girl" pregnancy, but not till the very end with my "boy" pregnancy. Or that Brooke was way more active in utero than Pierson was. So many things you talk about remind me of my first pregnancy. :)
